THE AWESOME THREE-The Trinity

Visions of God's Coming Judgments
While there be many who dispute the validity of the Trinity-the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost, Jesus words affirms its reality in the Great Commission in Matthew 28:19. One God who subsists in three persons (Father, Son, and Holy Ghost). Each is distinquished from the other: each possess all the divine attributes; yet the THREE are ONE.
There are religions that deny the Trinity. They don’t acknowledge the Holy Spirit and His ministry to the Church. Even the Webster dictionary acknowledges the Trinity as being the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost. Webster doesn’t have a problem with the Holy Ghost being the third person of the Godhead, so why do some men? Denying the Holy Ghost is denying God His personality. The Holy Ghost is the Spirit of God. The Holy Ghost has the same attributes of God such as omnipresent, omnipotent, omniscient, love, truth, holiness, and wisdom.

I John 5:7 tell us, “For there are three that bare record in heaven, the Father, the Word (Jesus Christ), and the Holy Ghost.” They bear witness one to the other. They work in unison just as the Body of Christ should be working. The Holy Ghost represents power. The word “trinity” itself means a set of three. This unique set of three are one. When you leave out one, you have broken off the union. Without the three, you are good as dead and powerless.

Acts 5:3-4 shows the Holy Ghost’s association with God when Peter asked Ananias, “Why has satan filled your heart that you should lie to the Holy Ghost.” The fourth verse says, “You have not lied to men, but to God.” The devil is the author of confusion. He is the mastermind behind people erring from Bible truth, not wanting to believe or adhere to it. His earthly workers twist the scriptures, doubt the scriptures, omit scriptures, and believe how they want to believe. Having ears to hear and don't understand, and eyes to see and perceive not...Jeremiah 5:21, Matthew 13:14-15, the natural man receive not the things of the Spirit, for they are foolishness unto him; neither can he know them because they are spiritually discerned. I Corinthians 2:14.
Again, Matthew 28:19 gives evidence of a Trinity. Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and the Son, and of the Holy Ghost. Here you see, God in three persons. Christ commissioned the disciples in this verse to fulfill their work together in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost. The same commission applies to the Church today. We need the Holy Ghost to fulfill the work of the Father carried out in the name of Jesus. It is by the power of the Holy Ghost inside the believer that he or she is able to fulfill the mission to win others to God.

The Holy Spirit is vital to our mission. You can’t leave Him out. You cannot separate the three persons of the Godhead and make this a “Jesus only” thing. When you do that, you deny God. II Corinthians 13:14 also shows proof of the Trinity. The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, the communion of the Holy Ghost, be with you all. Amen.
